Cai Zhixin, born in 1936, is a distinguished artist with over 60 years of experience. A member of the Art Committee of the Central Academy of Painting and Calligraphy of China and the China Artists Association, he holds the title of National First-Class Artist and serves as a librarian at the Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Culture and History.
In the 1950s, Cai’s work was widely published, and by the 1960s and 1970s, his art was exhibited internationally, with many pieces collected by foreign institutions. He has participated in nearly 100 exhibitions, earning numerous awards, and his works are held in prestigious museums like the National Art Museum of China.
Cai was awarded the "Lu Xun Award" in 1996 for his contributions to Chinese printmaking. His influence led to his special invitation to the 2008 Olympic Fine Arts Conference, with his works featured without review.
